And by "Sprinter" I mean the season that we seem to be trapped in right now. The forecast high for today is about 40 degrees*. The forecast for tomorrow calls for temperatures possibly up to 45 degrees! What is going on here?!? Seriously, we haven't really had much decent snow at all this whole season. Not that I want it, but I feel bad for Jon, who loves to snowboard. He is seriously considering taking a week to go to some mountainous state like Montana or Colorado, just to play in the snow.

*that's about 4.4 Celsius - bear in mind that water freezes at 32F, so 40 is ridiculously balmy and warm for January**

Damn it! That means we're going to get snow sometimes soon too! ARGH! It's gonna make the winter carnival a mushy MESS like last year. :(

Tell Jon I hear the powder's great around Denver right now, according to my 26 year-old nephew who lives out there & loves snowboarding!

Haha - NO! I kind of don't want him to have a week-long vacation, cuz then I'd be here at the ol' grindstone all by myself, and that would suck. :( But he does work a lot on evenings and weekends, and I guess he does deserve some nice time off....

I'm going to debate this in my mind for a while, and then maybe tell him. ;) Lucky for me he hardly EVER logs onto LJ!

Well, maybe a happy compromise: Lutsen's currently reporting a 24-48" base, and that could make a nice weekend getaway for both of you...

Bah, no thanks, not me. It's tough enough driving to Fargo for just a weekend, Lutsen's even further and I have Raynaud's which means snow is the direct opposite of a pleasant time.

But thanks!
