zebracar has just offered to pay for my internet until I get my car paid off, which would be December. I can't believe it! I keep refusing, and he keeps saying that it is like a utility, I use it daily, and it is a good source of information and entertainment, since I will only have broadcast TV, and as he says, "YUCK!" lol
I told him I would think about it, and that we could talk about it more this weekend after I move, but I would sorta feel really uncomfortable accepting that kind of generosity... its not that I don't appreciate it, but I really try very hard to be independent and cut corners where I have to in order to get by sometimes. This is one of those things I had expected to cut for a month or two, and now it is being offered to me for free during that amount of time. What do I do? Ack. I will be less than a mile away from the library, and will be able to check my email from there every so often, and I will still have my phone for communication... but it sure would be handy for me, living in a new city and needing resources and stuff.....
I will have to really think hard about this. I honetly can't decide right now if I want to accept that or not. The other thing I keep thinking about is that he just found out that his paychecks were not as many as he thought they would be Post-Burning Man.... and he just had all the expenses with the truck breaking down in Coalville.... I don't know I don't know I don't know......
It's not like it's an AGONIZING decision to make... it's just kinda ambiguous or something right now. More on this later when I make a decision.
On a totally different note, Inga and I are busy loading her stuff into the U-Haul trailer she rented to move back to her parents' house until she leaves for Norway in December to work as an au pair. We had the STUPIDEST thing happen right at the beginning, as we took a few measurements, and then confirmed with the actual piece, that her boxspring will NOT in ANY way fit into that trailer. We actually bent her mattress and made it fit, but then she changed her mind about leaving it bent like that for a couple days, and I can't blame her. So, we un-bent and unloaded it, and she had to call her uncle here in Fargo to see if he could take custody of the bed until her brother comes thru later next month and can pick it up in his pickup and take it home with him.
We really were totally shocked, and not just a little irritated. What kind of people would want to rent a trailer that doesn't fit a regular full-size bed? I suppose people use this smaller size trailer for hauling lumber or hardware or something, but you would think that U-Haul could have spared that extra 2-4 inches to make the damn trailer fit a normal bed! It's not like it's a QUEEN or anything! Sheesh!
That's it for now. Time to finish my sandwich and get back to work. I load my truck tomorrow! And I have to return my cable modem this afternoon. :( So.... who knows when the next time I write will be? ..... It's like a really crappy mystery!
