ambericaIt has occurred to me that I don't update my LiveJournal as much as I used to... part of this has to do with how much I have going on at work, and whether I can find a few minutes to take a break and do some blogging... but MOSTLY I think it's because I've got mostly knitting-related stuff that I want to blog about, and that usually ends up in my Knitting Blog.
It's getting a little weird how much I knit, and think about knitting, and read about knitting, and talk about knitting, and write about knitting. I don't know if I'm technically addicted to my hobby, but I'm definitely WAY into it. Way way WAY into it.
I am proud that I'm not one of those people with a ridiculously huge "stash" of yarn, and I don't have a ton of UFOs all over the place. I still try to buy yarn once I have a specific pattern in mind for it. And I try to find good deals. If it's not on sale, or cheap to begin with, I'd just as soon skip it. It's not a hobby that I'd spend just ANY amount of money on. For me, spending unnecessary amounts of money is NOT fun. And hobbies are supposed to be FUN. Thank god for KnitPicks. Hah.
