Lost

Well it finally happened. I crashed out for a nap this afternoon, and when I woke up I found myself staring at a dresser next to my bed. First I thought, "Well that looks a lot like my dresser. How uncanny." Then I looked a little closer and realized that it was, indeed, my dresser. My next thought was one of total confusion and not a small amount of surprise. "What is my dresser doing HERE?" I thought about that for what seemed like far too long, until I came to the conclusion that I was in my own bedroom, just waking up from a nap on my own bed, and staring at my own dresser in the place it has always been (at least since I moved into this place last December.)

So there you have it. I seriously did not know where I was, right here at home. I never thought it would happen, but it makes me wonder what senility and old age will be like. This episode was probably not more than a few brief seconds, but what will it be like to spend extended amounts of time (possibly permanently?) lost in my own home...? It makes me want to make the most of my youth and sharpness of mind while I still have it. As cliche as it is, I'm still going to close this by saying that a mind is truly a terrible thing to waste.

I KNEW there was a reason I felt iffy about this stuff! Not to mention the terrible, bitter, medicinal taste to it. Yuck! Me, I prefer Sorbitol when it comes to low-calorie sweeteners that don't promote tooth decay. It has a cool, smooth, sweet flavor and has been used for over 50 years with no negative side effects, unless you ingest massive amounts of it, and then it can have a mild laxative effect. Take THAT, all you Diet Cokeheads!
