The Apple Store

ambericaWent to the Apple Store at Rosedale Mall this weekend. Jon wanted to drool on the 30 inch monitor again. When we went in, we saw a guy that looked a LOT like the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons actually CHECKING OUT LIVEJOURNAL on one of the demo computers in the store! It was hard not to laugh. And if that wasn't nerdy enough, when we left the store, that same guy was still on that computer watching the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie trailer.... and as TOTALLY AWESOME as that trailer is, it is really very dorky to be watching it in the Apple Store in the mall after updating your LiveJournal at said store as well. Or maybe he was just reading his friends' journals. I don't know. Either way is goofy.
I wasn't sure if Jon had seen this. As soon as we walked out into the mall, we looked at each other and when I said, "Did you see that GUY?" he started laughing with me, because he had indeed seen it and had also found it very hard not to laugh at the time. Tee hee!
I am a total LJ geek too, and one of the bigger Guide obsessives that I know (especially for a girl), but come ON! There is a TIME and a PLACE for those activities.
