It's okay for you to ask me anything you want to know. As for IMing, I just don't like to be that accessible. I had it for a while but found it too distracting -- I'd be working on something and ((bling)) IM. A few minutes later ((bling)) and so on. So I un-installed it, and that solved that.

I'm also not a phone person. I have a land line at home, but only because I need it for the security system and to send the occasional fax. And I had to get a cell phone a couple years ago for work, then got hooked on the convenience, but I almost never remember to turn the ringer back on after my AA/NA meetings, so it's not too bad on the distraction scale.

I do most of my important communicating either face to face (preferred), or via e-mail late at night while the rest of the country sleeps.
