Itchy. Antsy. Caffeinated..?
Aug. 19th, 2005 04:21 pmI feel so edgy right now it's not even funny. Can't sit still in my seat. This is kind of how I feel when I have a cup of regular coffee in the morning. Except I only had a cup of black tea today. I guess it would make sense - I haven't had much caffeine at all in quite a long time, and my sensitivity is pretty high to begin with. I think my tolerance might go up a little in the winter when I tend to drink more teas and coffees.
And it's just about 4:30 on a Friday afternoon, and I want to go hoooome! I suppose I could be doing some research on the train that some of the managers here want to see about chartering for a big party... but I can't even sit still - how could I actually focus and do any kind of effective research?!?
I made the mistake of bringing a couple Mary Maxim catalogs to the office with me after lunch. Now I am just dying to buy more yarn than I should probably be spending money on. But I have such a strong desire to knit an afghan!!! It's driving me nuts. I keep telling myself that I have to wait until AFTER I move, AFTER things are more settled in... and maybe I should just focus on the leg warmers I am making now, and then start that poncho when I get the Zephyr yarn.
I should have brought my legwarmer stuff to work, so I could be working on those right now instead of feeling all jittery.
Lo que REALLY sucks is that I found a brand of yarn on clearance for 99 cents a roll when you buy 8 or more!!! And there is a FREE afghan pattern you can get with it - and the pattern requires 18 balls of yarn! Then there is another more lacy afghan pattern that I own, and I am looking at yarns for it, and the yarn I like is $4.99 a ball, and I would need 8 balls... It really adds up fast.
There was one fancy yarn that comes in a HUGE ball (1 ball to make 1 sweater - cool!) but that one ball of yarn costs $39.99! Yipes!!
OK, that's enough about yarn. I should try to do something productive in the next half hour.
