On Friday night I started (and got within a few rows of finishing) the first wristwarmer. On Saturday morning I finished it and whipped out the mate. Jon pointed out that wristwarmers might be a misnomer, since they cover an awful lot of my hands. I guess they are technically fingerless mittens, but I actually prefer calling them gauntlets.

Here is the "palm-view" of the first one:

Trust me, the other one looks just like this. It was just too hard to take pictures of both of them at the same time. ~_^

I used just under one ball of the cheap $1 boucle that Target had at their $1 Spot for a few weeks. I have another ball of it, it's pretty soft. I think I'll make booties or something. Maybe with purple Fun Fur around the ankles, since I still have a full ball of that left over after doing my legwarmers...

I'm not sure why, but I'm just absolutely crazy about knitting in the round, especially on DPNs, lately... Like, even just thinking about flat knitting makes me shudder with boredom. I'm sure I'll get over that sooner or later.

I wore my wristwarmers in a 9-hour meeting at work today. I was shocked, shocked at what an awesome difference they made. That particular conference room often has an awful chill, but I felt a ton better just wearing these silly things. Also, and this is the best part, they allowed me to type a lot better on my laptop during the meeting because they prevented the heels of my hands from activating the touchpad and making my cursor jump all over the page when I was typing. It was AWESOME. I am going to make a bunch of these in different colors and styles I think.
