Furniture Update
Jan. 3rd, 2006 10:03 pmJust following up on this post.
We talked some more about it after work this evening, and decided that for right now, the Two Harbors set was going to work best for us. So I went to Slumberland this evening and wrapped up payment and set up delivery times, and that's that! I'm really pleased - I think these pieces will be nice for us to have. Also, I got the SKU for the coffee table that we bought and found the link, but if you click here you will find that it is a terrible, blurry picture! Haha!! It's so ironic because the thing we liked best about this table was the beautiful details on the surface. Oh well. I'll take some pictures when it gets delivered later this month.
So that's finally done. One annoying thing is that the loveseat, which we were told by the saleslady at the time was $699, was NOT $699, but still $799. She knocked $25 off the price for me, but I was not really happy about that. Jon said he might try to go in there this week and see if he can get it taken care of. His brilliant plan is to ask a different salesperson how much the loveseat is, and if they say $699, he's going to say, "I'll take it!" and try to buy it at that price, and then have me cancel my sale for $774. I think there might be an easier way around this... like just leaving it alone, perhaps?? LOL - oh well. What's $75 in the big scheme of things anyway, when after taxes and fabric warranty my final bill was just over $2000? I know as well as him that it does pay to be a tightwad, but I don't think this is a battle we're going to be able to win, so I personally would rather not even bother with it. But if tries, I'm not going to stop him. What's the worst that could happen?
