I had a routine doctor's visit this afternoon. I like my new doc. She was a LOT nicer than the last one I saw. She admired my engagement ring with that little light-up magnifying cone thing they usually use to peer up your nose and in your ears! LOL

She told me that if we are planning on having babies, even if not right away, that it would be a smart idea for me to start taking a pre-natal multi-vitamin. Huh. I guess I might as well. I'm not taking a multi right now, just a B-100 complex most days, but I guess it can't hurt.

No real point here. I guess I just thought it was a bit weird. I think I'm just going to go with a regular women's multi-vitamin, and then switch to a pre-natal one later on if/when we decide to start trying for a pregnancy.

Whuffore do you take the B complex? I take one too, but I can't remember why.

The same suggestions around avoiding SW names for the dog also apply to a child. Only in the case of a child I would suggest not circumnavigating the suggestion by saying "Solo is the name of a cup," or "We call him Chewy because of the way he mauls my nipples" or "Princess Sticky-Buns-On-the-Head is my paternal grandmother's Indian name."

Of course you do what you want. I'm just chiming in early to avoid the rush. :)

Well, I take my B-complex because it helps give me energy throughout the day, and it's very good for optimal brain and nerve functioning. It helps improve my alertness and focus. I can definitely tell the difference when I don't take it.

Plus it makes my pee turn NEON YELLOW! Woo!

Oh I forgot the other part!

Honest to Goodness, the name Solo came up FIRST because he really is THAT short! LOL - that's what led me to later think it sounded like Han Solo, which then led me to think he looked like a little midget Woookiee (he really does!)

I guess it doesn't matter much either way... He'll probably end up with a stupid name like Rocky or Smokey or something.

the vitamins ahead of time is a REALLY good idea. Lotsa women can't keep 'em down long enough to do any good once a little one has taken control of the womb, so if it's in your system already, and you are used to taking them, it goes easier on you in the long run. And you are less likely to loose teeth.

We really aren't interested in babies for at least another couple of years, so I think I'm just going to start taking Jon's regular good-for-everyone multi-vitamins for now. Lord knows I don't want to lose teeth!!!
