I found it I found it I FOUND IT!!!!
Feb. 7th, 2005 10:19 pmApparently I'm not the only one who has been obesessed for several years with finding this song, because I just found someone's website where they stated that they could DIE today and still be at TOTAL PEACE now that he found it. What is the song? It's that super cool and jazzy mambo-sounding tune they used to play during Adult Swim bumpers. I haven't watched it in a long time, and am not sure if they still use this music. But I do hear it from time to time in other places... I just heard it again on CSI: Miami this evening and just about jumped out of my chair. It was like the hunt was back on! I tried to find music credits for this episode online, but no luck there, so I started scanning other message boards all over the place, and I actually got what I was looking for! It is a remix of a Tito Puente song called "Mambo Gallego." The remix is called D-Code. I don't know who mixed it - it's turning out to be a lot harder than I would think it would be to find that info out. Nevertheless, some college kid (the one who was equally obsessed as me) posted a downloadable link, and now I have the song!!!! I am super pleased.
If anyone is curious, here is the page of the site of the guy that saved my sanity: http://www.wfu.edu/users/shelj24/peace.html
