NO, I DON'T have anything like this, but if I ever DID, it would look a lot LIKE this model, only it would be Platinum (the pic is white gold) and the stones set into the sides of the bezel would be up higher, and the center stone would be set a little lower... kinda more streamlined and cool looking. And the bezel would go all the way around on the sides. Trust me, it'd be super nice. Otherwise, this is a pretty darn good/close representation. Of what I WOULD have if I DID have anything. Which I don't. Seriously. No lie.

CALM DOWN PEOPLE! Nothing to get all excited about. Trust me. You don't see ME getting all whooped up and excited. Cool it!

Oh and for Pete's sake, if I DID have anything to say, don't you think I would have said it? You know me - if there's ANYTHING to be said, I can be counted on NOT to keep my mouth shut! Come on, calm down now. Deeeeep, cleansing breath. There, now don't you feel better? You can rest easy, knowing that I definitely do not have a ring like the one in the picture.

I hate to break this to you, darlin', but the cat's pretty much out of the bag as far as your LJ friends are concerned. Besides, the ring isn't the engagement, the promise is. So, congratulations!

Now, at the risk of being redundant, when are you getting married? If you really don't want to say yet, that's cool. I'm going to assume September 17th until I hear otherwise.

Sure, assume whatever you want! I have no idea when it will happen. But I do know that the party will be later in the summer next year. As far as the legal parts, that could happen anytime between now and then. I dunno.

The issue is, I'm not allowed to be making OFFICIAL FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, because if I could do that with a "general agreement and plan," I would have done so months ago! So I have to follow the "rules" I guess.... So for all intents and purposes right now, I am NOT engaged! LOL (Not "officially" whatever the heck that means.)

So (struggling to get this right)... you have a "general plan and agreement" to get married, which is different from being engaged because you don't have the jewelry that seals the deal. Is that close to right?

September 17 is "later in the summer." As in very late, and next year it's on a Sunday, which is a weird night for a party, but hey, it's your party so have it whenever you want to.

Heehee! It is still "engaged" but not "officially and publicly engaged" I guess... it's been a bit of a confusing issue for me too these last couple months, but I'm just kind of following his lead on this one! I think that he wants to have a symbol to PROVE to society that his intentions are true, because he doesn't think that a person's word is enough in today's world. ^_~

As for the date, I will keep it in mind and definitely let you know if it changes. Until further notice, you can plan on that date if you like! (Just don't spread it around too much - I think I would want it to be earlier..)

Not so much a "husband" as a "willing slave to do my bidding" -- and he's tall and can reach stuff for me! You can use him too! (And he's really good with computer networks, so that comes in handy too)

Yes, I am using the entire ensemble from the "Pretty Pretty Shiny Pretty Engagement Barbie" line. That includes sparkly pretty tiara, sparkly glitter eyeshadow, sparkly sequin dress (with the poofy floofy sleeves) and super duper rosey posey flower bouquet, with REAL ROSE SCENT!
