That's right, Christopher Walken is running for President in 2008! Yes, THAT Christopher Walken! ("I need more cowbell!") Everything is word-of-mouth right now, since too much media attention too soon can cause a campaign to die out early. So spread the word! Check out the site! Research his platform, and tell your friends!

This could be SO AWESOME for AMERICA! (Yeah, right. The awesome ones never win.) But let's try anyway!

And YES, I realize that this very well may be a hoax... but I can still hope, can't I? And if it is indeed fake, it's a nice-looking hoax anyway...

EDIT: Goddammit, it is a hoax. See here for details.

And why were you so stoked when you thought he was really running? You don't seem like the type to get all whipped into a frenzy just because a celebrity is running for office...?

I think it's because I really liked the "platform" that had been put on the website, and I know that his being a celebrity would have made him more likely to get votes than the average politician with a good stance on those things. It's so sad how the good ones are always shouldered out by the corrupt ones. I guess money talks... :(

(Also, I am not-so-secretly in love with Chrisopher Walken, and would do anything for him, including giving him my vote.)

I have always disliked the Democrats, I am starting to hate the Republicans more as they get taken over by the religious nutcases, and the Libertarians are just tooooo out-there for me on certain issues. Why NOT someone that stands for things I can support? I was thinking that a Dean-McCain ticket in '04 would have been one I could have supported with pride. Of course, we all know what happened to Dean, and McCain never joined him anyway. (Hrmm ... Sounds kind of like a bad folk song...)

I see. Sort of like how I'd vote for Michelle Pfeiffer in a heartbeat if she was running.

My dream contest in '08 would be Hillary Clinton squaring off against John McCain. I'd vote for Hillary because (among other things) I'll always vote pro-choice, but McCain is a Republican I could live with. I don't think his party will give him the nomination, though.
