My fingernails are getting long. They look kind of nice. Typing is getting harder by the day. And yet, I'm afraid to cut them. I'm afraid that they will end up shorter than I wanted to go, and then I will be unhappy because I will have to be sooo careful and grow them out again. This is not an easy thing for me.
Actually, I don't really like long nails that much. It's just that when they happen, it's such a rare and amazing thing on the hands of a clumsy nail-breaking girl like me that I just have to appreciate it. I didn't try to grow these out. I just looked down in the Monday meeting this week as I was trying to type some notes and there they were!... making it hard to type, and making an awful clicky noise on my otherwise silent laptop keys. That's when I told myself I would have to trim them. But today I still haven't done so. And I am still scared. Well, scared isn't really the right word... Reluctant, that's probably better. I better get over this and move on.
