Promotion - kinda

Last week my boss informed me that another admin who has worked there for several years had just put in a 30-day notice. She has been my "mentor" since I started my admin position there, and she is a really nice gal, so I'll be sad to see her go. I've only been there for like 6 months, too, so I'm a little scared about losing her as a support system when I'm still not sure how to handle a weird situation. But she has decided to spend more time at home with her little ones, so that is wonderful, and I'm really happy for her.
